In this episode's off-topic section, Brett talks about that one time he onewheeled through the Badlands with Olympian John Coyle and didn't even know it. You know, that time. John K. Coyle is a two-sport athlete, an Olympic silver medalist, author, speaker, leading expert in "Design Thinking" and in the words of two contentologists... a total life pilot. Oh yeah, he's also like, totally Brett’s buddy now so go ahead and be jealous. Josh and Brett pay their respects to the late, great Chadwick Boseman in the way they know best: by discussing content. First, Josh talks about some of the professional and personal triumphs of the actor who unexpectedly and tragically passed on August 28, 2020. Then Brett dives into Black Panther, a movie which has undoubtedly struck a nerve in today's culture. Chadwick Boseman stars as the titular character in one of our favorite movies in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel movies are more than entertainment. They explore our reality through fiction and help shine light on important cultural and societal issues and never has that been more true than Black Panther right now. We may be just two more white guys talking about black entertainment but we are also contentologists and we love this movie. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda Forever.

2020 has not been a good year for forest fires (or anything.) If you're in Colorado or California, it is not unlikely that you have ash falling through smokey skies. In this episode's off-topic section, Brett talks about the multiple forest fires (including one that ignited just a few miles away) that drove him and his wife back on the road in their Airstream. Josh then ruins any chance of becoming an Ambassador to Bolivia by navigating the dangerous road of discussing international politics, wealth inequality and state-sponsored drug trade on a homegrown podcast. For the first time in Content Clearinghouse history, Josh and Brett are recording together, in person. Or as a contentologist might put it, "IRL." In this episode's off-topic section, Josh talks about the secondary and tertiary talents his friends and mentors possess. Trash talents! Does someone in your life have a hidden talent that goes mostly unnoticed until a specific time, place or event allows that ‘trash talent’ to present itself?
